Product Earth Explain Reason for Cancellation of the Events Second Day

Product Earth, the UK's premier cannabis, hemp and CBD expo, was set to span an entire weekend at venue Drumsheds, Tottenham. PE was offering exhibitor showcases, educational seminars, and live music. However, the second day was cancelled in the early hours of Sunday morning, it has now been revealed this was due to the widespread non-compliance with the venues strict no-smoking policy whilst indoors. The organisers of PE explained 'Unfortunately on Saturday a minority of people decided that they would smoke inside the building. UK law dictates that smoking is not permitted in any enclosed workplace or public building. This triggered pre-fire alarms, which would have set off sprinklers, putting the safety of people at risk. We worked into the early hours of the morning with the venue to come to a resolution, offering multiple solutions, however the venue made the decision that the show could not continue on Sunday due to the risk on their license. The decision was entirely out of our hands'.

Held at a major venue that operates under strict licensing laws, the smoking incidents placed the venues operating license at risk. Losing their license would not only prevent them from hosting future events but could also lead to significant financial and legal consequences.

Furthermore, organisers of Product Earth have now addressed the situation around refunds. For those who purchased tickets for the second day of Product Earth or bought weekend and VIP passes , the cancellation has come as a sudden and disappointing blow but organisers are offering full refunds for the second day.

Product Earth have said 'We are speaking with EventBrite on how best to get this done as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work through this unfortunate process'.
